Clarify the condition of the property

An empty home and a furnished home require different access and planning. Tell the team which rooms, cabinets and appliances will be empty and whether moving work will be finished.

Agree on interiors and access

Ask specifically about inside cabinets, the oven, refrigerator, windows, tracks and reachable trim. The condition and access can affect what is practical within the agreed scope.

Leave time for a walkthrough

Where possible, allow time to review the agreed work before handing over keys. Cleaning is one part of a move and cannot guarantee a deposit return or satisfy every landlord requirement.
